1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SumBot ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Who Can Use SumBot

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU) to use SumBot. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. What SumBot Does

SumBot allows you to record audio, generate AI-powered summaries, and extract tasks from your recordings. The App is intended for personal, educational, and professional use.

4. Your Recordings and Content

You own your content. Any audio you record and any summaries or notes generated belong to you. We do not claim any ownership over your recordings or the content produced from them.

You are responsible for what you record. By using the recording feature, you confirm that:

• You have the legal right to record the conversation or lecture
• All participants in the recording are aware they are being recorded, where required by law
• You will not use SumBot to record conversations illegally or without consent

Recording laws vary by country and region. It is your responsibility to understand and comply with the laws applicable to your location.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use SumBot to:

• Record conversations without the consent of participants where required by law
• Generate, store, or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App
• Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality
• Circumvent any technical measures we use to protect the App

6. AI-Generated Content

Summaries, notes, and task lists produced by SumBot are generated by AI and may not be fully accurate. They are provided as a convenience and should not be relied upon as a complete or authoritative record of any conversation or lecture.

We are not responsible for errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in AI-generated content. Always verify important information from the original source.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, code, and all original content within it are the property of the SumBot developer and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our express written permission.

8. Third-Party Services

SumBot uses third-party services to provide certain features, including AI processing. These services have their own terms and privacy policies. By using SumBot, you acknowledge that your use of AI features is also subject to the terms of these providers.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

SumBot is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not guarantee that:

• The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• AI summaries will be accurate or complete
• The App will meet your specific requirements

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of SumBot — including but not limited to loss of data, missed deadlines, or decisions made based on AI-generated summaries.

Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to the App

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of SumBot at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any such modification or discontinuation.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via an in-app notice or update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of SumBot shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Finland.
